About the Role  

Reporting to the Clinical Academic Lead: Horizon Hospital Health Service, you will be responsible for providing clinical education support to the Academic Unit’s (Simulated) Horizon Hospital and Health Service (HHHS), in the conduct of simulated / situational clinical learning for students enrolled in the undergraduate program.

Essential Skills and Experience  

  • Bachelor of Nursing with significant current post registration clinical experience, in a variety of clinical settings with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia 
  • Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and commitment to contemporary nursing practice and motivation to maintain clinical skills in the discipline 
  • Thorough understanding of the National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards including their integration within clinical practice 
  • High-level organisational, problem solving, and analytical skills including the ability to obtain and interpret relevant information and make specific recommendations to senior staff where appropriate 
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills and experience in liaison, negotiation, and conflict resolution with a broad range of people internal and external to the organisation to achieve specific outcomes
