- An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and meticulous individual to join our dynamic and fast-paced administrative team at UWA CELT.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months
- Base salary range: Level 5 $ 73,982 – $ 81,999 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team
The Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) is UWA’s intensive English language provider and comprises thriving tuition.
Whilst CELT is within the office of the University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) the specialist nature of its business means that it has a degree of autonomy in decision making, including the flexibility to take advantage of market developments to remain competitive and financially self-sufficient.
Within this context, CELT works to enhance recognition of UWA internationally by providing high quality intensive English language programs and allied services. CELT’s reputation for quality and integrity and its culture of supporting students and enhancing their Australian experience is pivotal to its ability to develop and maintain relationships with education agents, education institutions, peak bodies and corporations nationally and internationally.
About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under limited direction, provide a high level of administrative support to the Centre in the role of processing international student applications and completing the entire process of admission. You will take a responsible role in the establishment, maintenance and improvement of associated office systems and policies and procedures to ensure the efficient completion of all aspects of enrolment and related client services.
About you
You will possess significant administrative experience, ideally gained in organisations that provider English language courses. Your high-level interpersonal skills and experience communicating with clients from non-English language background will be critical to succeed in this role. You will also possess outstanding attention to details, excellent analytical and preferably experience assessing students applications.
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
- Substantial experience in an administrative role, preferably in a similar or related industry
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
- Highly developed organisational skills, ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Excellent client service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, especially with clients from non-English language backgrounds
