(HEO7) $89,399 to $99,987 per annum (pro rata) plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply.

Part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed term opportunity available until October, 2023.

Opportunity to work closely with key staff, students and external stakeholders, to develop and implement University-wide and Infrastructure-specific communications, projects, events and campaigns.

Under direction of the Manager Communications & Engagement, the Engagement Project Officer contributes to the achievement of the University’s goals and targets across the Infrastructure portfolio, and assists in the preparation of relevant policy and planning documents.

The role works with a degree of autonomy to direct and deliver the sustainability engagement program (Ecoversity), and provide the University community with advice and support to achieve positive stakeholder engagement outcomes on campus; to help develop a campus culture that values and applies sustainable practices; and across a range of major infrastructure initiatives. The position coordinates and supervises project-specific interns, recruits and manages the Environmental Interns, and collaborates with student groups on sustainability projects and events.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in planning, coordinating and managing communications and engagement activities and events with minimal supervision.
  • Sound skills and experience in identifying and engaging effectively with stakeholders on a range of diverse projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant experience in environmental management and leading sustainability projects.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer services skills and commitment to a customer service culture.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and writing skills to inspire and motivate audiences.
