Engagement Coordinator

  • Fixed term, full time,2-year position

The Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre delivers programs of education and research into local, interstate, and international communities. The Centre is active in engaging with communities – in person and in an online environment – aligned with making an impact in the lives of people living with dementia, thought greater understanding, increasing dementia literacy, and understanding and addressing dementia risk factors.

The Opportunity

The Engagement Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and deliver on the best ways to attract and engage with various cohorts and communities to drive enrolments into our free and paid education programs. The successful candidate be responsible for engagement with community and health and aged care sector groups, working to build the profile of the Centre.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Liaising with the Marketing Office, play a lead role in the design and delivery of marketing material, both physical and electronic.
  • Create accurate and engaging content for traditional and digital channels to reach large audiences.
  • Maintain an efficient and timely schedule for all marketing and engagement materials and ensure maximum exposure.
  • Develop content and provide delivery of communications channels and plans, including newsletters, EDMs, annual reports, social media channels, and website content.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

  • Ability to create and execute a marketing or communications strategy, with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • A relevant degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education in an area such as marketing, community engagement, or communications.
  • Ability to develop fliers, advertisements, social media posts suited to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills and systems.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $92,538 comprising base salary within the range of $70,822 to $79,092 plus 17% superannuation.
