About the position

The main responsibility of this role is to oversee the planning, execution, and participation of external stakeholders and international students in events for the La Trobe University Employability Programs team. With the express purpose of bringing employers and international students together to promote global job pathways and post-study employment prospects, the role organizes key employability expos and other on-campus and online activities for the benefit of La Trobe University students.

The position will boost the market value of La Trobe's international student population and connect them with businesses that are actively looking to hire graduates or students from La Trobe University. Events will be held at the Bundoora campus and other regional locations such as Bendigo, Mildura, Shepperton, and Albury Wodonga.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • An undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to influence and build relationships, with capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively in and across small teams. Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.
