The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the Research School of Psychology, the ANU Medical School, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the Research School of Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.
The ANU Medical School forms part of the College of Medicine, Biology and Environment which brings together medical, biological, population health, psychological and environmental sciences to integrate high level research with a research-led curriculum and community engagement. The School operates over multiple sites, partners with ACT Health and provides early and regular access to clinical teaching facilities within hospitals and community practices throughout the ACT, the south east region of NSW and in remote NT; and has strong links to teaching hospitals and research schools and institutes both within and external to the ANU with wide-ranging research activities and excellent infrastructure.
The Education Support Officer works as part of the Education Support Team based at The Canberra Hospital, focussing on the provision of administrative support to both students and academic staff surrounding medical student placements. This position coordinates all aspects of the medical student placements in the area of general practice; and oversees the administrative support for the GP teaching sessions and Case Based Learning program for the Integrated Community and Child Health (ICCH) Block.
Applications are invited from individuals with demonstrated experience in a fast-paced operational and/or administrative focussed environment. Experience in a tertiary institution would be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be able to evidence their exceptional organisational skills; will have high-level customer service skills; and will be able to use initiative and good judgement in decision-making. They will have a proven ability to quickly and efficiently, build strong and effective stakeholder relationships.
