Base Salary $91,644 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation

As such, we are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are seeking an Education Support Officer (Clinical) to support the provision of a broad range of educational support services to academic and teaching staff, ensuring the needs of the work area are met effectively and efficiently. The Education Support Officer (Clinical) is required to liaise and communicate with a range of internal and external clients including representatives from the Local Health District (LHD). The role provides the link between the Education and Health partners in the timetabling and management of Medical Student training. This role will be embedded in the clinical school.
This position will be expected to be on site at the at Concord Medical Education Centre.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
coordinate and provide administrative support for clinical teaching including the recruitment, engagement and ongoing relationship management with paid and non-paid clinical tutors and supervisors, including timetabling and logistical management (including booking and preparation of teaching spaces) of the unpaid volunteer involvement
coordinate the educational or teaching and curriculum reporting and compliance requirements
coordinate and implement operational and education support to the work area’s academic and teaching staff, including timetabling and scheduling activities
communicate with students regarding clinical placements including Learning Management System (LMS) information, team timetables and support student requirements
provide and coordinate a broad range of education (learning and curriculum) support for the work area and its academic and teaching staff
liaise with and build strong relationships with key staff and relevant stakeholders, including staff, academics, and clinicians from the LHD
develop, implement, and report on the delivery of the medical program in collaboration with relevant academic staff.
About you
possess exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills
have demonstrated experience in customer service orientation, ideally supporting students, and liaising with external stakeholders
have effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
have excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
have a background in education and or hospital administration environments
have demonstrated experience in continuous process improvement initiatives; particularly, committed to creating a meaningful standard operating procedure (SOP), and creating new workflow arrangements
have proven experience in coordination and facilitation activities.
