  • Base Salary (HEO6) $91K - $98K p.a. + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

The Faculty of Science is currently seeking an Education Support Officer (Admissions, Pathways and Projects) to provide a broad range of education administrative and operational support to meet the Faculties education and student support needs.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • help to analyse matters and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes

  • ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls and ensure a safe working environment for all staff and students

  • provide guidance and support to more junior administrative staff, utilizing extensive administrative experience and judgement.

  • a tertiary qualification with some relevant work experience; and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training

  • effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods

  • teamwork skills, with an ability to link Faculty and School staff with central PSU staff to deliver positive student outcomes

  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve required outcomes

  • extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment

  • strong customer service skills coupled with the desire to support and assist staff and students

  • demonstrated understanding and knowledge of issues relating to the delivery of advice and support to students

  • previous experience in student support programs or student administration, along with an understanding of current issues impacting the student experience

  • experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of student administration, curriculum and earning management systems such as Sydney Student, Sydney Curriculum, Canvas, Records Management, together with sound understanding of timetabling/rostering of student activities.
