We are currently seeking a highly organised Donor Relations Writer with exceptional communication skills to join the Advancement Portfolio.

 

Working closely with the Communications Manager and the Donor Relations team, you will produce strategic stewardship reports for our high value donors. This is a truly impactful role as you seek to understand donor motivations by highlighting meaningful philanthropic outcomes and present them with a beautiful, well-crafted stewardship report to express the University’s appreciation. Ultimately, the role contributes to strengthening the University’s relationship with its donors by demonstrating the impact of donor gifts throughout Australia and the world.

  • is an excellent communicator – you love communicating both verbally and using the written word

  • has experience writing impactful copy that compels the reader to reflect and evoke emotion

  • is able to build and manage complex relationships with a range of stakeholders across the University, including students and academics

  • can assist in developing processes for the Donor Relations program using reporting tools. This will ensure data is relevant, detailed, up to date and effectively communicated

  • holds exceptional project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines

  • is a true team player and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the wider Portfolio team.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
