It is not often that a large, vibrant organisation such as Edith Cowan University embarks on such an exciting, challenging, and multi-faceted change process, redefining where and how they continue to provide an exceptional experience and service to their students, the business world and the wider community. This includes but is not limited to ECU City; the Perth CBD state-of-the-art campus that will redefine higher education in Western Australia. Such change and progress creates the need to hire an accomplished leader with proven experience in the planning, oversight and governance of highly dependent enterprise-wide strategic change initiatives.

As the leader of the Universitys PMO function and working with an experienced program management team, this role will oversee enterprise-wide projects and programs of works that support implementation of the above-mentioned bold and modern Strategic Plan. Carrying superb stakeholder engagement, relationship management and program management areas of focus, your leadership of this critical business unit will be instrumental to the sustainable success of an already great organisation.

Key facets of the business unit include the provision of expert advice on all aspects of program and project management lifecycles, budgetary management, program reporting, proactive project planning, and contemporary risk management. In addition to leading the team, your involvement and advice across all aspects of program and project management will also be essential.

Extensive experience in the areas of enterprise PMO management, program management, project management and change management are unquestionable requirements in a strong candidate. What will set you apart is your natural ability to bring people together on the journey, through outstanding relationship management, partnering and engagement while still balancing appropriate governance and oversight. Note, this is not an IT / ICT leadership role, it is for an experienced PMO leader with experience in entreprise / strategic program management.

ECU blends commercial and social mandates, so your combination of these two ecosystems will benefit your application, as will your track record of leading high-performance, collaborative teams.

This represents an excellent opportunity to truly make a difference with a University continually ranked in the worlds top 100 young universities. Applications close 15th March 2023.
