Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Director, Digital Experience to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.

The Director, Digital Experience provides leadership of strategic planning, innovation and client experience across Digital Enabling Services and Student and Stakeholder Engagement portfolios. Leading a team of Associate Directors and staff, you will drive innovation, enhance client experiences, and position the university as a digital leader in the higher education sector. In ensuring that digital initiatives are aligned with university goals and objectives, you will work closely and extensively with executives, managers and leaders across the university. The position is also a senior member of the DBS executive team.

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a postgraduate qualification in information technology or a related field with significant business experience in IT management at the executive level.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to enterprise architecture, portfolio governance and investment management strategies, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the higher education environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in the delivery of strategic planning services that enable the implementation, communication and management of ICT strategy and planning frameworks in a large, complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in the identification, design and delivery of ICT innovation programs to support improvement or transformation in a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the collaborative development of an enterprise architecture and subsequent maintenance, in a large, complex organisation in accordance with standards and practices.
  • Proven highly developed interpersonal, presentation, written and consultation skills with the proven ability to consult, negotiate, persuade, advise and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and management skills in creating a culture of innovation and high level service delivery while achieving positive outcomes with organisational wide impact.
