About the Role:

Working within a collaborative leadership team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of TAFE , this key leadership role within the Centre of VU Transitions will provide excellence in leadership, strategic planning, implementation and management of English Language Courses (ELICOS). 

As the Director of the Centre of VU Transitions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of our students. The Centre of VU Transitions is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the transition experiences of students as they move through various phases of their educational journey. 

The successful candidate will lead a team dedicated to developing and implementing programs, resources, and support services that empower students to navigate the challenges and opportunities of their academic transitions

  • Have exceptional leadership, mentorship and professional development opportunities for the centre staff.
  • A high degree of independent decision making as well as collaborative decision making in consultation with other leaders.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and shaping high performance teams.
  • Oversee the design, development and implementation of onshore and offshore ELICOS.
  • Formulate and meticulously manage the centre budget, promoting fiscal responsibility and resource allocation efficiency.
  • Foster strategic partnerships and collaboration with the government, industry partners and community stakeholders.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness and impact of the delivery programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and accreditations standards of TEQSA.

This full-time position will be offered on a 5-year fixed term contract basis. A highly attractive remuneration package is on offer, including an employer superannuation contribution of 17%.
