This includes a focus on young people, older people, and the intersection of sexuality and gender with other issues, such as disability, family violence and mental health.

About the role

The Director, ARCSHS will be responsible for the leadership and management of ARCSHS, including financial and project management, staff supervision and the development and management of the Centre’s strategic research portfolio and business plan. The Director, ARCSHS will foster a sustainable and collaborative research climate of internationally recognised excellence, attracting high level research staff and HDR students, while promoting a culture that values innovation and identifies all possible funding sources, including commercialisation.

About you

You are a Professor with a background in the social dimensions of gender, sexuality and/or sexual health and a reputation as a highly regarded thought leader in your field. A strong leader, you are both internally collaborative and externally oriented, with a track record of fostering relationships and establishing research and innovation linkages and partnerships. You relish the opportunity to lead ARCSHS, focusing on addressing Australia’s pressing sex and sexuality issues, including the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ communities today and into the future.
