About the Role
The Digital Marketing Coordinator (Analytics and Performance) manages the continuous improvement and optimisation of the University’s digital marketing environments, with an emphasis online customer behaviour analysis and the use of digital marketing analytics to deliver business outcomes.
About the Communications and Marketing Unit
The Communications and Marketing Unit’s (CMK) role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance the understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.
The Digital Marketing team manages UniSA’s online profile and customer engagement through a variety of digital channels, platforms and applications. The team is responsible for several key bodies of work: the University’s corporate web presence; marketing automation, systems and CRM; digital marketing analytics and search engine marketing. Key responsibilities include: the unisa.edu.au website and staff and student portal applications via content management systems (CMS); paid search SEO and CRO; CRM suite and marketing automation; and social media and digital content. The Digital Marketing team is responsible for the University’s digital analytics, reporting and customer behaviour analysis. The team works closely with wider Communications and Marketing Unit staff on the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver digital analytics to support marketing strategies and campaigns, combining sources of digital data to deliver insights and recommendations to optimise performance, drive innovation and deliver on objectives
- Manage the University paid search advertising strategy, a range of campaigns and organic search initiatives
- Apply a ‘test and learn’ methodology in managing and driving digital campaign performance and conversion rate optimisation
- Provide advice and a high level of project management skills to complex digital projects to manage workload across the Digital Team
- Contribute to the delivery of the University’s digital marketing and online strategies including marketing automation and website developments
- Manage a small team
Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in digital marketing, analytics, IT, web development, marketing, communications, or a related discipline with additional experience as a specialist, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience
- Extensive experience in managing and visualising digital analytics, analysing customer behaviour and reporting to drive digital innovation across a variety of data sources
- Proficient across digital technologies, including Google Business Suite (Data Studio, AdWords, Tag Manager, Analytics), CMS, CRM and marketing automation, and social channels
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation and optimisation of integrated digital marketing strategies across channels, including paid search, social media, digital display, native advertising, CRM and direct marketing
- Proven success in the development and ongoing management of tactical Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) activities to enhance integrated marketing activities for a diverse range of audiences
