  • Commencement Salary: $69,605 per annum (plus up to 17% superannuation)

About the Role

This role supports the development of digitally rich learning resources for teaching in programs and courses across UniSA. Assisting and advising teaching staff on the diversity of web and multimedia technologies and resources that can be adopted to improve the teaching and learning environment of the University is a key responsibility. The Designer: Audio Visual / Multimedia Production is responsible for generating and managing high quality multimedia for education that will assist in the achievement of the University’s strategic plan Enterprise25, and the Academic Enterprise Plan 2021-2025.

Core Responsibilities

  • Use technology and creative experience to produce high quality audio visual and multimedia teaching and learning products
  • Collaborate with colleagues and academic staff to bring about improvements in the design and use of multimedia resources
  • Provide specialist support and advice to teaching and professional staff
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advances in digital audio visual and multimedia production
  • Facilitate all aspects of audio visual and multimedia production

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Qualifications in a relevant field (film, graphic design, animation, web-design)
  • Experience developing multimedia resources for online use and/or education contexts
  • Ability to design, create and implement high quality multimedia products for online and blended models of teaching
  • Experience with industry standard video editing software (such as Adobe Suite and FinalCut Pro)
  • Sound organisational skills and well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
