The Role
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and President, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, External Engagement (DVC EE) provides strategic leadership of the engagement connections and activities relating to our prospective students, alumni, donors, national and international collaborations and partnerships, global mobility, media and other key market stakeholders. As a member of the Senior Executive, the DVC EE will contribute to strengthening professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively and collegially across functions to achieve key objectives.

The primary objective will be to set the strategic agenda for External Engagement to further position Swinburne as a leading institution at the cutting edge of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. Intrinsic to this will be the requirement to grow revenue, relationships and reputation for Swinburne and to build a strong culture of commercial excellence focused on the University’s strategic goals. The role will engage with stakeholders to enhance and develop the international activities of the University and ensure entry standards and recruitment strategies support the University’s growth, goals and targets.
