About the Role

The Deputy Director: Organisational Capability is a newly created role operating as a key member of the People, Talent and Culture executive team, playing an integral role in the delivery of the University’s people strategy by building whole of organisation capability. As a systems thinker and experienced change practitioner responsible for developing organisational capability and performance, you will lead a portfolio of strategically orientated business partnering and organisational development functions.

Leading the development and implementation of the University’s strategic people partnering framework you will lead and coordinate a strategic People Partner function that supports and enables University strategy through its business units.

With a proven track record of leading the development of strategies to build capability, achieve strategic objectives and delivering innovative people solutions. You will be excited by the scale and complexity of our organisation and motivated by its energy and aspiration. To be successful in the position you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience and expertise in building, leading, and managing client focussed strategic business partnering teams, preferably having established a service centre in a diverse, multi divisional organisation
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications, ideally at postgraduate level, in a relevant discipline such as human resources, organisational psychology, business or any other relevant field
  • Demonstrated success in leading transformational change across an organisation to assess and activate organisational culture, capability, and performance
