About – Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) has been the leading Australian provider of engineering and IT education and research for over 150 years. About the Role
The Department Administrator will work closely with the Head of Department and provide significant administrative support to the department. You will support the alignment of the distribution and flow of information between academics, professional staff and RHD students to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently. This role requires a high level of organisational skills, since the role entails managing competing demands, prioritising tasks appropriately and independence in self-directing your workload.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building value-adding relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertaking continuous improvement to refine systems and processes
  • Providing accurate and timely advice and information to internal and external enquiries

About You
As a keen problem-solver, your strong analytical thinking skills and solution-orientated approach will enable you to manage a busy and varied workload.  Utilising your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • Relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Commitment to the provision of quality service
