Overview
The Data Governance and Analytics team at ECU delivers data governance, data quality and business intelligence services to the university to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data-based decision-making. To further strengthen the data governance and quality practices at ECU, we are seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst with outstanding interpersonal skills to assume a pivotal role in the team. 

The Role
As a Data Governance Analyst at ECU, you will be a key player in maintaining and enhancing our data governance framework. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce data quality standards, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance. This role offers the chance to contribute to shaping our data management practices and driving impactful changes across the organisation. You will be required to work independently and collaborate with the wider team and key stakeholders across the University. 

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

Key Criteria
The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems related to data governance.
  • Ability to profile, cleanse and interrogate data sets.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police clearance.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time, ongoing position attracts a remuneration of $111,152 to $125,191 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
