Role Description:
The Data Engineering Intern participates in the analysis, design, development, delivery, and support of data assets, pipelines, and engineering platforms to meet a range of business needs.
You will learn about scalable data pipelines, data models, and analysis. At heart, you love Software Engineering as you will want to create products with a real-world impact.
You will learn to apply product thinking when designing solutions while working with others to deliver solutions.
Your efforts will help nib to deliver a healthy return on investment through software solutions that are cost-effective, modern and fit for purpose.

Skills and Experience:
- Understanding of modern languages such as Node.JS, Ruby, Python, and/or Golang
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL,
- Architectural mindset with knowledge of software engineering principles.
- Advocate for good software engineering practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery.
- Data engineering in cloud-based platforms
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Focus on customer service and human-centred design.
- Enthusiasm for continuing to learn state-of-the-art techniques
This internship amounts to $40,000 tax-free for an undergraduate working 37.5 hours per week (part-time can also be considered)
