Data Analyst

• Full-time, 12 Month Fixed Term position

• Salary HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangement

• Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About You

You will operate within a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with data scientists and data engineers to develop Data Modeling, Mapping and Migration solutions to stakeholders across the organisation. This includes performing analyses of key data sets to draw out insights to help inform decision making. You will contribute to the development of best practice approaches aligned to the data governance framework of the university.

The aim of the Curriculum Mapping and Management Tool is to enhance, standardize and systematise the processes involved in the ideation, design, approval, publication and review of products and curricula.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

• Experience in data visualization, mapping and design techniques to communicate key concepts and insights

• Intermediate to advanced skills in data mapping and visualisation tools such as SQL and PowerBI

• Good problem solving skills with the ability to create, innovate and iterate solutions

• Strong communication and interactive skills

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides RMIT University with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and services. Our role is to support RMIT’s high quality teaching, learning, research and administrative activities.

Information Technology is of increasing importance to the research, teaching and learning life of a University, particularly a ‘global University of technology and design’ like RMIT.
