About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a diligent and organised administration professional to support administrative and data access operations of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health (ALSWH), a long-running federally funded survey of over 57,000 women. This role is the key liaison point for requests to access ALSWH data, as well as ongoing monitoring of data use, recording research outputs, and maintenance of associated databases.  At UQ, ALSWH is located within the Australian Women and Girls’ Health Research (AWaGHR) Centre at the Herston campus. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Acting as primary contact for ALSWH data access inquiries, providing guidance and assistance to researchers.

  • Managing data access applications, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and regulations.

  • Coordinating bimonthly Data Access Committee reviews, processing successful applications and facilitating data delivery.

  • Administering projects from inception to reporting phase, ensuring adherence to protocols.

  • Providing administrative support to ALSWH Committees and maintaining research databases.

  • Produce reports on data usage and outcomes.

  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of ALSWH web pages to ensure information is visible and current

  • Coordinating research seminars, workshops, and promotional activities for ALSWH.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position through until June 2027. At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099.39 - $94,512.08, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $103,076.28 - $110,579.13 annually.  As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.  The role is located onsite at the AWaGHR Centre offices at the UQ School of Public Health at Herston.


About You  

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training

  • Experience in administration, particularly in health, with knowledge of research policies or the ability to quickly grasp them.

  • Advanced computer skills in word-processing and databases.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining web pages.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and meeting deadlines.
