About the role

This is an entry level Cybersecurity Analyst position, ideal for a recent graduate or IT support looking to build on existing Cybersecurity knowledge.

In the role, you will be responsible for supporting the Cybersecurity organisation in the identification and work-to-resolution of Identity Management functions and Cyber threats that may impact on the availability and integrity of RMIT services.

Building upon your demonstrated cybersecurity technology experience and knowledge in cybersecurity controls, you will provide support and guidance to deliver technology projects and Business as Usual (BaU) operations.

In turn, we will support and coach you as you develop your skills and knowledge in Cybersecurity, within our collaborative and innovative team.


About You

You will have basic understanding of cybersecurity technologies (eg, Palo Alto Firewalls, Threat Management / Intelligence; IdM; Microsoft 365 security suite, cloud security).

You may have hands on experience with medium-large scale IT Security Operations practices.

Showcase a sound understanding and appreciation of information technology and current threat landscape.

Proven ability to prioritise tasks and deliver a quality service to the University

Possess high level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external clients, to identify and solve issues.

Finally, and most importantly, a highly developed people engagement capability, exceptional teamwork and collaboration expertise.
