The Coordinator (Payroll Services) reports to the Manager (Payroll Services) and will be responsible for leading the provision of a broad range of cyclic payroll related activities and associated advice. This includes general processing of payroll and provisions under the Enterprise Agreement as specialist advice on superannuation, remuneration, conditions of employment, and PeopleSoft HCM data entry and processing.

Who are you:

  • A payroll specialist, you will have at least 4 years’ experience within a large complex organization
  • Committed to ensuring your payroll legislation knowledge remains current and relevant with the ability to share and collaborate amongst team members.
  • Enjoy working with broader Human Resources, Finance teams and business units which translates to high quality client service and advice, delivering accurately and on time.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the end-to-end fortnightly production, verification, and reconciliation of the payroll cycle.
  • Interpret relevant industrial instruments and legislation, organizational policy and procedures relating to employee engagement and association remuneration requirements.
  • Work collaboratively to provide robust, risk-mitigated payroll advice in a dynamic environment.
  • Manage and troubleshoot complex payroll and benefit related issues.
  • Ensure that PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) data and system is maintained.
  • Be supported, with the opportunity to focus on the ongoing development of Payroll Services team members, embedding quality practices and technical ability, underpinned by governance and compliance.

What will help you succeed?

  • A relevant degree level qualification and proven experience in a payroll environment will be highly regarded.
  • Comfortable in resolving challenges and participating within a team environment.
  • Significant experience in processing end to end pay runs, including review and correction of employee payments, exception reporting and reconciliation.

Salary: Total remuneration range from $112,314 to $124,193 p.a. (includes salary range of $94,900 to $104,937 p.a, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
