About the position

The primary responsibility of the Coordinator, Indigenous Operations is to provide confidential and high-level executive assistance and services to guarantee the successful and efficient administration of the Indigenous Strategy and Education Division and its leadership.

This is a highly prominent position with responsibility for a variety of confidential concerns that necessitates strong judgment, initiative, discretion, and independence.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge, in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with people at different levels of seniority, internal and external to the University. Ability to retain professional and welcoming demeanor under pressure and in an environment prone to interruption.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in standard office applications (e.g. Microsoft Office package and Outlook) and sufficient computer literacy to master other relevant computer packages as required.
