About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to join our university as the Contracts and Safety Management Coordinator. As an experienced candidate, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive health and safety advice while coordinating support services for the effective management of our OHS policies. With a focus on addressing the diverse needs within our Campus Management department and other specialty campuses, this role offers the chance to showcase your administrative abilities, make independent judgments, and deliver premium customer service to our staff and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:       

  • Focus on identifying and delivering sustainable process improvements across all areas of accountability
  • Facilitate portfolios with the maintenance and administration of local health and safety systems and processes
  • Participate in, monitor and report on compliance and quality assurance management, in line with requirements under the University’s risk management framework including health and safety, legislation, statutes, regulations and policies.
  • Monitor and provide written reports of licensing requirements for the University to operate within health and safety areas
  • Provide advice and support in preparation for and corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits
  • Assist the clients to effectively manage health and safety risk through coordination, advice and where applicable, direct assistance/implementation.

Who we are looking for
We're seeking an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • A relevant qualification and/or relevant experience such as Health & Safety Systems and Construction experience
  • Knowledge of health and safety and relevant legislative requirements
  • Intermediate-level computing skills and ability to learn new systems
