  • Commencement Salary: $84,539 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

As the Consultant: Employee Relations you will provide expert advice, service and support to the Employment Relations (ER) team, managers and staff across a broad range of contemporary ER functions. You will manage sensitive employee relations cases, undertaking investigations and coaching managers on early intervention strategies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on the application of employment legislation, workplace agreements, awards, case law, University policies, and procedures
  • Manage sensitive employee relations cases
  • Preparation of reports, correspondence and written advice
  • Contribute to the implementation of key industrial agreements (Enterprise Agreement) and University strategic directions

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Specialist experience working in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
  • Experience in the provision of internal consultancy services with a strong customer service focus
  • Experience in managing human resource or employee relations matters including underperformance and grievances
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to understand and apply industrial instruments and analyse HR Data
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills
