Your new role

We are seeking a creative, hardworking and enthusiastic community relations specialist to develop and coordinate the alumni and community engagement program for the Faculty of Business and Law.

With a new and exciting university-wide alumni and community relations strategy, you’ll leverage existing initiatives and create new ones to support business and law graduates at all stages of their careers. At the same time, you’ll create opportunities for alumni to give back – through volunteerism and philanthropy – in support of the Faculty’s strategic priorities.

This faculty-focussed alumni engagement role is still developing, so there is plenty of room to innovate. If you have an appetite for engaging the business community both locally and globally for the benefit of higher education, then this role is for you.

In this role you will work closely with the Faculty of Business and Law Advancement team to:

  • Develop and deliver new and existing alumni and community relations programs and communications for business and law graduates at all stages of their careers;
  • Create and deliver opportunities for alumni to give back to the University in support of the Faculty’s strategic priorities, including targeted fundraising appeals;
  • Support the new Curtin Business School Alumni Association (CBSAA) and other Alumni networks;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various alumni groups, including recent graduates, leading alumni, donors, volunteers, and advocates, while supporting the student-to-graduate transition;
  • Coordinate other university-wide alumni engagement programs and support Advancement campaigns as required
We are on the hunt for a creative individual who:
  • Gets a kick out of creating and delivering programs, events, and initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes;
  • Possesses knowledge and experience working with customer relationship management and systems;
  • Has a sound understanding of the Perth business community, loves to network and expand out of their comfort zone;
  • Is highly motivated by working with a wide range of people, both collegiately and autonomously, and seeks to change the world through the power of higher education.
You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
