The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME)

  • Position based in Perth CBD
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, flexible working environment and work with a team of passionate individuals in a transdisciplinary research centre
  • Full-time or part-time (0.8FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 3 years
  • Base salary range: Level 8, $103,364 - $112,981 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

 The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME) is an independent, not for profit organisation driving transformational change in and beyond mine closure through research, engagement and impact. We are a unique collaboration of over 70 partners from leading mining and mining service companies, community and regional organisations, State and Commonwealth governments and the research sector.

CRC TiME is co-hosted by research partners, the University of Western Australia and the University of Queensland with offices in Perth and Brisbane.

About the opportunity

In this role, you will develop and implement tailored communications strategies to support partnerships, drive and amplify research adoption and impact and position CRC TiME as a trusted, collaborative and independent Cooperative Research Centre. You will also develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while identifying opportunities to support and promote the Centre’s partnerships and research, including among the research community, industry, regional and First Nations organisations and governments.  

About you 

You are an adaptable and flexible individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys engaging and building positive relationships with various stakeholders. You possess excellent organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and to meet strict deadlines.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, corporate affairs, business or similar
  • Experience in media engagement, including developing media strategies, media releases and responding to media inquiries
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences
  • Experience in website management, including maintaining current, relevant and engaging content and managing
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively maintain and build a range of internal partners and external suppliers relationships
