Overview
Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the university's digital and physical environments to support teaching, learning and research for students and staff in a manner that is efficient, innovative and future-oriented. Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.

Reporting directly to the Director and Chief Information Officer, the Communications Coordinator promotes the value of Digital and Campus Services activities within the University community through the delivery of customer focussed communications.

Utilising a range of different media, including Microsoft 365, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for designing, producing and enhancing a range of communications materials such as newsletters, information packs and project communications that are clear, consistent and of high quality.

The Communications Coordinator will also work with the Digital and Campus Services senior management team to coordinate events and internal communication which work towards building a cohesive and collaborative culture in the Centre.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, proactive individual who is able to collaborate well with others at all levels.

Key Criteria for this role:

  • Demonstrated background in delivering customer focussed communications in different media formats;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering strategic internal communications to continue to build a positive team culture
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating well with others at all levels to enhance customer experience and build effective working relationships within the organisation, and 
  • Demonstrated ability in the translation of technical communication to business focused communication.

Desirable:
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering change management communications for large scale projects

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $82,658 to $89,180 (p.a) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
