The Communications Centre is an exciting department at ECU that service Future Students, Current Students, Alumni (and the public). We are a passionate team and pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service.

The Communications Centre handles a wide range of enquiries through a variety of channels, including inbound and outbound calling, email, online chat, and social media.

We are currently looking for ECU students or recent graduates that are interested in casual employment to help support our Current/Future Students team, who are available to work between the hours of 7AM and 7PM Monday to Friday from 

MAY 2023 – SEPTEMBER 2023 with some shifts available in our busy periods on Saturdays. 

Please note 

  • An onboarding period will be required in May where minimum of 3 shifts a week will be required for training
  • Hours will fluctuate during off-peak and peak periods.
  • All candidates considered including international students.
  • There is a Service Dog that is onsite within the Communication Centre

Day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Answering varying enquiries from international and domestic students via phone calls, emails, and chats
  • Making outbound phone calls
  • Data entry
  • Adhering to KPI’s including Scheduled Adherence, Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement and Risk & Compliance
  • Other duties as required 

Key Criteria: 
  • A positive attitude
  • An advocate of ECU and its various schools and disciplines.
  • Can work with multiple systems
  • Ability to stay up to date with frequently changing information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
  • Valid working rights in Australia
