- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for 3 years
- Base salary range: Level 4, $68,640 - $72,913 p.a. or Level 5, $73,982 - $81,999 p.a., depending on skills and experience, plus 17% superannuation
The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME) is an independent, not for profit, research organisation driving transformational change enabling regions and communities to transition to a prosperous and sustainable post-mine future.
CRC TiME is a unique partnership of over 70 leading mining companies, mining equipment, technology and services (METS) companies, regional and community organisations, governments and research partners. CRC TiME is part Commonwealth Government funded and is co-hosted by the University of Western Australia and the University of Queensland with offices in Perth and Brisbane.

About the opportunity
In this position, you will provide high-quality communications, events and coordination support to our External Relations and Impact team. You will support events and engagement activities such as conferences, workshops, seminars and networking activities and prepare promotional materials, newsletters and publications. With your excellent organisational and time management skills, you will also update and maintain the CRC TiME website, stakeholder databases and event information while assisting in the development and production of digital and other content for various platforms.

As a self-motivated professional with creativity, team spirit and organisation, you will be looking to gain valuable cross-sector experience to advance your career. You will have a strong eye for detail while working with flexibly and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
To be considered for the Communications Assistant/Officer role, you will demonstrate:
- Year 12 or equivalent competency in communications, business or marketing
- Substantial relevant experience in a communications, events, design, engagement or planning role
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
- Highly developed organisational skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including Microsoft Office, Customer Management Systems, website management, communications software tools and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative or equivalent
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
- Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal partners and external suppliers
