Are you a detail-oriented, organised, and proactive individual looking to play a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of a prestigious College?

The College of Engineering, Science and Environment are seeking a dedicated College Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and event support, ensuring the seamless operation of the College Office. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our college through your expertise in administrative support, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the schedules, engagements, and day-to-day requirements of Senior College Executive members, ensuring their time is optimised and tasks are efficiently executed.
  • Providing comprehensive administrative support, including drafting, editing, and preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations for the College Leadership Team.
  • Ensuring the effective servicing of College Committees by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing action items and submission reports.
  • Collaborating with professional staff across the College to support projects and operational priorities, contributing to the College's overall success.
  • Coordinating the processing, tracking, and monitoring of College financial transactions and expenditure through the University's corporate systems.
  • Assisting with the planning, coordination, and delivery of College functions, projects, and events, contributing to the achievement of key objectives.
  • Maintaining and reviewing confidential and sensitive records and files in accordance with University Policy.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of college communications, including online platforms and channels for both internal and external stakeholders

You will inspire us with your demonstrated capacity for managing competing demands and working in a fast-paced environment. Confidence in prioritising your workload and liaising with multiple stakeholders will also be valuable attributes.

This fixed term position is full time at a HEW 5 Higher Education Level until May 2025 and will be based at Callaghan Campus.

  • Demonstrated event and project management skills, including the ability to support the delivery of successful functions that meet key objectives and outcomes and ensure effective / positive stakeholder engagement
