Fixed term, full-time position available for 24 months

Coordinate and deliver strategic and operational projects relating to the overall management of the Library’s physical collections

Located within the Library Experience portfolio in the University Library, the Collection Projects Coordinator identifies, manages and delivers key collection projects in the Library’s Physical Collection Management Plan to ensure a high-quality user experience for the University community.

This role coordinates the management and successful delivery of small and large collection moves, weeding and relegation activities, space planning, data analysis and reporting.

This position works with the Library’s Collections and Facilities team to ensure that collection projects at all Library sites are scoped, managed and delivered effectively. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, the ability to coordinate complex logistics and an aptitude for data analysis.

To be successful you will need:

  • Proven ability to plan, lead and manage projects, with experience working in a complex multi-site environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write planning documents and reports.
  • Proven ability to gather, manipulate, analyse and interpret data with Excel including creating pivot tables and generating reports.
  • A functional knowledge of library collection processes and procedures, and an awareness of current trends in academic library collection management.
  • Proven experience in managing projects with complex and overlapping physical logistics.
