Join our team at Curtin University as a Project Officer! We are looking for someone to take on the coordination of the day to day activities in our student-led Cockburn Clinic, in addition to providing development and implementation support of small and large scale projects, under the guidance of our Project Lead.

This position will play a crucial role within the Curtin Clinics Program, with a particular focus on the implementation of the revised Clinics structure, specifically at the Cockburn Clinic. This position also offers the opportunity to assist the Clinics Project Lead in establishing new Clinics Sites, subject to time availability.  

In this role, you will, but are not limited to:

  • Manage project communications and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development of business cases and project initiation documentation.
  • Coordinate project plans and initiatives.
  • Provide executive support to project committees and stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify impacts and risks associated with the project.
  • Undertake project research tasks, compile and analyse data, and draft project reports.

Selection Criteria

  • Completion of relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated organisational/project management skills with the ability to coordinate and implement project activities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated effective written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, including respecting difference, leading, supporting others, accepting direction, and working to group goals.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.
Area Specific Criteria
  • Demonstrated understanding of student placement requirements.
  • Experience in operations of community health services clinics.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a tertiary environment.
