Your new role

This position is responsible for the planning and strategic management of the Curtin led clinics within the Faculty of Health Sciences, where significant innovation, initiative and judgement are required, to ensure the delivery of quality student learning experiences in our clinics, across multiple sites, in partnership with our internal and external stakeholders.

This role will be responsible for leading a team of Clinics Program Coordinators across our four Curtin-led sites, while based on Bentley Campus, within the Curtin School of Allied Health.

You will be required to have a professional qualification in a relevant Health Sciences discipline with considerable experience in a university and/or health care environment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or education/training.

Curtin’s Faculty of Health Sciences has four academic schools that deliver a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degree by research (HDR) courses. Curtin’s four Curtin-Led Clinics, including Health and Wellness Centre (Bentley), Juniper Annesley, Curtin Clinic Cockburn, and Challis Community Primary School support these courses by offering purposefully designed interdisciplinary and discipline specific clinical placements, and aspire to a concurrent focus on education, healthcare, research and community service.

  • Ability to develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of a range of curriculum, learning and assessment software applications and to provide a high level of interpretation, advice, and guidance in relation to the implementation of these.
  • Project management skills with the ability to coordinate and implement project plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to gather, collate, interrogate, and report on data.
  • Highly effective verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to create, maintain and enhance relationships with colleagues and external parties at all levels.
  • High level written communication skills, with the ability to draft and prepare a variety of reports and other written documentation.
  • Demonstrated effective decision making and problem-solving skills.
