The Opportunity

Reporting to the School Manager, Eastern Health Clinical School, the Clinical Trial Co-ordinator (Team Leader) will ensure the team of Clinical Trial Co-ordinators works efficiently together to gather high-quality clinical research data and maintain optimum medical and nursing care to subjects (patients) at the standard of practice in accordance with the National Health Medical and Research Council (NHMRC), Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCP), the International Committee of Harmonisation (ICH) and the Australian Nursing Council Inc. (ANCI) Guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage significant components of the clinical trials including planning and management of operations, budget, infrastructure, resources and regulatory compliance
  • Provide leadership and management to team members, including developing, coaching and mentoring staff, managing performance and encouraging excellence in research support, within the clinical trials
  • Oversee the undertaking of clinical trials, analysing data and reporting outcomes by drawing on specialist expertise and applying it in challenging and innovative ways

In addition to the nursing qualifications outlined in the Position Description, extensive clinical research experience and a demonstrated capacity to lead, supervise and manage teams is essential for success in this role.
