About the position

A Level B Clinical Practitioner is expected to engage in supervision of students participating in practical training in clinical and professional settings, and to participate in teaching and activities related to teaching, such as marking, subject development and moderation of online learning, relevant to clinical work.

The successful applicant will work closely with other members of our team to support students undertaking postgraduate training in psychology, ensuring that we deliver an outstanding student experience. Only registered psychologists who are Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisors are eligible to apply.  

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and:
    • full membership (or eligibility) with the Australian Psychological Society (APS); and
    • registration as a supervising psychologist at the higher degree program level by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA); and
    • endorsement as a specialist in clinical psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA)
  • Extensive knowledge of the registration requirements for students undertaking professional psychology placements and internships, including familiarity with a range of existing and new placement providers.
