Seeking an Associate Lecturer in Exercise Physiology / Exercise Science to join The School of Health Sciences
Base Salary $107,516+ 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Sydney School of Health Sciences are seeking a clinical educator who is passionate about improving health outcomes and health equity in the local, national and global communities through Exercise Physiology.
As an Associate Lecturer (Clinical Education) you are expected to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation within their Academic School, with a focus on coaching and developing students in the provision of best-practice patient care within a simulated or real clinical setting.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
contributes to outstanding educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes
apply clinical knowledge and expertise to innovate teaching and learning
contribute to the education and administrative activities of the School
contribute to a positive workplace culture within the School
contribute to the strategic direction of the University
engage beyond the University (clinical and or industry partners)
work as an effective team member and, as required, coordinate units of study.
About you

an allied health professional qualification or equivalent
significant recent clinical expertise in any area of Exercise Physiology with current registration with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Scientist or Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) or equivalent professional body
experience working in a clinical setting and proven ability to apply expertise and knowledge to inform pedagogical practice (usually more than 2 years post accredited primary healthcare qualification)
experience in clinical teaching and learning, as evidenced by student coaching and skills development, peer-assisted teaching and learning, outreach activities or similar developing knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical teaching practices and effective curriculum design

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
