The Western Australia Biodiversity Science Institute (WABSI)

The Board of the Western Australian Biodiversity Science Institute (WABSI) is seeking to find a senior leader with exceptional skills to become the next Chief Executive Officer of its organisation.

The successful Chief Executive Officer will oversee the next exciting phase of WABSI as it continues to build on the momentum that it has established and to develop new long term programs that will benefit the State.

The Western Australian Biodiversity Science Institute (WABSI) is a collaborative, unincorporated joint venture, representing the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Curtin University, Department of Biodiversity Conversation and Attractions, Department of Mines, Industry, Regulation and Safety, Edith Cowan University, Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, Murdoch University, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, the University of Western Australia,  and the Western Australian Museum..

About the opportunity

This is a leadership position where you will collaborate and create links between industry, government, funders and researchers, to oversee the development of the research programs for WABSI.

About you

You will be an experienced leader and possess relevant qualifications in leadership, research management or science. A strong track record of business development is essential to succeed in this role. Your strong networking abilities will result in research projects that address issues of community, industry, and government.
