Why Your Role Matters:

The Change Manager of Data Insights for Student Learning and Support Project will play a pivotal role in facilitating the adoption, acceptance, and seamless integration of the strategically funded learning analytics platform into routine operations. The widespread uptake of Learning Analytics and Intelligence (LAI) solutions throughout the institution is instrumental in enriching the student experience and positioning UNSW as a trailblazer in offering data-enhanced teaching, learning, and support avenues, in alignment with the UNSW 2025 Strategy.

This position entails close collaboration with the LAI Project Manager, the project Steering Committee, advisory/working groups, and a diverse array of stakeholders, including Faculty Deputy/Associate Deans of Education, academic personnel, as well as central and faculty-based teaching/learning support teams. The incumbent is charged with overseeing a comprehensive change and implementation initiative to ensure the successful institutional-wide adoption and assimilation of learning analytics solutions.

Who You Are:

Our ideal candidate comes with strong change management experience, ideally in an educational context. They will be a skilled communicator, able to interpret data and influence a wide range of stakeholders accordingly. A qualification and/or substantial experience in business analysis skills, or similar, would be a distinct advantage.

• Demonstrated measurable success in leading, managing, developing, and implementing change strategies in large scale projects. This includes conducting change analysis, impact assessments, and developing effective change initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering communication plans and artifacts across various platforms including internal communication and the ability to, confidently present accurate, appropriate and meaningful information to engage a range of audiences, utilising a range of platforms and mediums, in particular digital meetings, consultations and workshops.

•  Relevant tertiary qualification in change management with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.

• Demonstrated extensive experience in effective transformational change and project management in a complex environment with a strong understanding of the educational project environment and program life cycle, documentation, effective budget and resource management and evaluation.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering support and training programs to drive successful change in new business processes or systems.

• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a customer service focus and the ability to influence, build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with staff at all levels.

• Expert stakeholder management skills, with a high-level ability to manage resistance and blockers, think strategically and identify avenues to promote the adoption of systems and a new way of working and thinking in a tertiary institution.

• Ability to work positively and independently in multidisciplinary teams with the capacity to take responsibility, exercise independent judgement and proactively address and resolve complex problems as they arise in a “client-customer” focussed environment often with rigid constraints.

• Proven organisational skills and the ability to operate autonomously while demonstrating strong initiative and a proactive approach to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.

• Advanced level of experience working with a range of digital systems and platforms, including Microsoft Office applications and databases e.g CRM, Dynamics, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.

• Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
