Casual VE Sessional Teacher – Global Business and Leadership 


  • Casual Sessional, commencing July 2023 

  • Teaching within the School of Business and Enterprise 

  • Flexible hours per week, based at the Melbourne CBD Campus and/or Junction Oval St.Kilda and/or Essendon Football Club, Melbourne Airport

About You 


As a Casual Sessional within Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program 


You will participate in the program’s continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students’ assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. 


We are looking for sessional teachers to assist teach into our Dual Diploma of Business and Leadership and Management programs embedded with our sporting industry partners. 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Delivering to students Diploma of Business and Leadership and Management subjects embedded in our sporting industry partnerships at Cricket Victoria and Essendon Football Club 

  • Managing a dynamic classroom environment 

  • Inspiring students to succeed 

  • Work closely with our partnership teams and managers 

  • Delivery, assessment and administration of student outcomes 


  • Participation in a diverse workforce and supporting an inclusive culture 

  • Role model RMIT’s and our partners values 


 


Our ideal candidate will have:  


 


  • A qualification in the TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education  

  • Current industry experience in our subject offerings  

  • Highly desirable - experience in business in a sporting industry context 

  • Passion for education and maybe a keen interest in cricket or football 

  • Demonstrated experience teaching in Vocational Education is desirable  


  • The ability to travel to all locations as required
