Casual Research Fellow, Quantum Sensing

  • Casual Associate Research Fellow: ($49.36 per hour + 11% superannuation without a PhD, $61.93 per hour + 11% superannuation per hour with a conferred PhD)

The role and responsibilities: 

  • Conduct high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs, with mentorship.
  • Engage collaboratively to participate in novel and high-quality research or creative activities.       
  • Begin building body of work and reputation and recognition for quality, excellence, and impact.
  • Build awareness of relevant industry partners and opportunities for HDRs/ECRs placements.     

To be successful, you'll have:

  • PhD is desirable or relevant degree in Theoretical Quantum Physics, Mathematics or Mathematical Physics.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Emerging research and scholarship through publications, and/or exhibitions as appropriate to the discipline
  • Knowledge of quantum phase space methods, quantum sensing and proficiency in Mathematica and MATLAB is desirable.
