About the Role: 

In this role, the applicant will play a pivotal part in conducting experiments to understand the functions of plant derived bio active compounds in mammalian cell lines using critical lab-based techniques such as in vitro cell-based assays and flow cytometry.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Master of Science (Biological and Chemical Science)/ Master of Biotechnology/ Master of Applied Science degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior researchers and help design and conduct experiments in a timely manner.
  • Strong organisation skills, engagement with diverse team members and accurate recording and analysis of data generated from research undertaken.
  • Demonstrated proficient Microsoft Office skills (e.g, Word, Excel).

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Designing and conducting laboratory experiments independently or under limited supervision within target timelines.
  • Conducting project-related experiments in an ethical, accurate and productive manner.

Additional Comments:

  • The role requires the incumbent to apply for and maintain a Working with Children Check.
