About the Role

Flinders University is seeking enthusiastic students studying with the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences in a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Performance, Bachelor of Media and Communication, or Bachelor of Tourism and Events Management to amplify the student voice, represent the cohort, and provide insight into student life as a Student Content Partner.

This is a fun and rewarding experience for students who are wanting to promote their positive experiences studying HASS courses at Flinders University and are eager to connect with prospective students to encourage them to pursue their university study aspiration. You will also have the opportunity to cross-promote your own social media accounts, develop and hone desirable marketing skills to further your professional capabilities and network with likeminded marketing gurus.

As a Student Content Partner, you will:

  • Brainstorm innovative content and student engagement strategies and collaborate with the Marketing Communications Partner and Schools Outreach Officer to make these ideas come to life.

  • Lead social media takeovers on Flinders University platforms by creating social media content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Snapchat.

  • Visit local schools with the Schools Outreach Officer to speak with prospective students about your Flinders experience, while providing course-specific insights.

  • Write blog posts and testimonials.

  • Participate in Open Days.

About You

A successful Student Content Partner will be vibrant and supportive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your enthusiasm and passion for your study pathway will be the key to your success as you influence prospective students who have a common interest in your field of study, whilst promoting a positive connection with Flinders University, our campus and our community.

To be successful in this position, you will be:

  • Currently enrolled at Flinders University, in a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Creative Industries, Performance, Media and Communication or Tourism and Event Management degree.

  • Passionate about social media and marketing, with the skills and ability to create and edit your own content.

  • A confident public speaker, with a desire to be on camera and in content.
