The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology is a thriving centre of learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering disciplines, computer science - including machine learning, high-level mathematics, architecture, planning and landscape architecture. Many of its academic staff are world leaders in their fields and graduates are highly regarded by employers.

The School of Mathematical Sciences provides an array of programs aimed at developing student's skills in high level mathematics. The school offers degrees in the mathematical sciences, with specialisations in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics, and also offers postgraduate coursework programs in data science. Several courses taught by the School are undertaken by a broad range of students across the Faculty and University

We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the following semester:

  • Semester 1 2023, commencing 27th February 2023

Term of position: 27th February – 31st July 2023

  •  Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
    • Possess an eligible Australian work visa

    *Please note: evidence of Australian citizenship or working rights will be required.

    • As a minimum requirement, applicants will need to have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or be enrolled in an Honours program/year.
  • Consider the desired criteria:
    • Previous experience with casual work within the school
    • Demonstrated ability to educate and mentor students
    • Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
    • Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators
    • Completion of a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
    • Teaching qualifications or formal training
