The School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, teaching and research programs educate chemical engineers to play leading roles in the chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, food and beverage technology, energy and combustion and advanced materials industries. Dedicated to achieving excellence in research, teaching and knowledge transfer, the school offers a stimulating and intellectual environment in which to work.

We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 1 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, commencing 27 February 2023.

Application process:

  • Opportunities available for casual staff include teaching assistance and some tutoring, demonstrating, marking etc.  These activities will be dependent on the needs of the course as directed by the Course Coordinator

  •  Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
    • Possess an eligible Australian work visa*
  • Consider the desired criteria:
    • Relevant experience for specific courses will be required.
    • Demonstrated ability to educate and mentor students
    • Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
    • Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators
    • Completion of a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
    • Teaching qualifications or formal training
