Casual Hourly Rate: HEW 1 Casual - $36.05 per hour + 11% Superannuation

About the Role: 

  • Reporting to the chef in charge of the shift, you will support the day-to-day operation of the Waurn Ponds Estate kitchen team.
  • You will be required to be available to work between 7 am-9 pm, including some weekends. You will be rostered Approx 20 hours per week
  • Having some experience with food preparation and food service.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • This role requires the incumbent to apply for and maintain a Working With Children Check

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen to our sanitation standards.
  • Washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping of the floor.
  • Putting away dishes, pots and pans and ensuring that all the dishes are adequately sanitized.
  • Removal of hard rubbish and the removal of kitchen food waste into our closed-loop compost machine.
  • Putting away pantry supplies and organising pantry shelves.
  • Assist in food preparation.
  • Effectively manage their work as directed by the chefs, to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the expected standards.
