About the Role

Flinders University teaches nearly 1000 students though joint degree programs in Asia with a focus on Mainland China.  The Master of Arts (International Relations in Economy and Trade) (MAIRET) is one of these programs and is taught with Nankai University in Tianjin China.

As international borders open up, we are looking for Casual instructors (Topic Coordinators, Tutors and Markers) with current experience in China-Australia business, trade, and government relations.

You would need to demonstrate following criteria.

  • PHD in relevant field or a master’s degree with significant relevant work experience.

  • Familiarity with tertiary education pedagogy and technology.

  • High-level cross-cultural communication skills

  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality contemporary learning activities via face-to-face and online technologies to enhance the student experience.

You will also have subject knowledge/experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • International Trade Development and Policy

  • International Finance and Accounting

  • International Strategy and/or Marketing

  • International Commercial Law and Arbitration

  • International Public Policy

Prescribed Conditions for Employment

  • A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
