The Careers and Employability Centre

  • Part-time (0.4 FTE), fixed-term appointment until 31 March 2023
  • Base salary range: Level 4 $68,640 – $72,913 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team 

The Careers and Employability Centre is responsible for delivery of professional, innovative career development and employment services to all students at the University. The Careers and Employability Centre is located within Student Services and Engagement and works closely with internal stakeholders, including schools and the UWA Student Guild, and external stakeholders, including employers.

About the opportunity 

You will provide professional, efficient administrative support, assist with organisation and delivery of Careers and Employability Centre events and help develop and maintain resources. The role encompasses direct contact with clients and working with staff within Student Life to assist students seeking to use the services of the Careers and Employability Centre.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate :

  • Year 12 or equivalent competency
  • Considerable relevant customer service and administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • High level of proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, web content management and email
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills specific to client service delivery
  • Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and to use initiative
  • Ability to make an effective contribution in a team environment
  • Desirable: Knowledge of career development industry
